2025 Applied Mathematics Departmental Retreat
On August 21, the Applied Mathematics Department had a highly productive retreat in downtown Merced. The retreat featured scientific talks by our senior graduate students, a poster session, and plenty of opportunity to network and reconnect. We would like to extend a special welcome to our incoming first-year Ph.D. students!

Welcome to the Applied Mathematics Department at the University of California, Merced! We offer interdisciplinary research and training programs that focus on solving real-world problems through the development and use of novel mathematical and computational techniques, methods, and models.
