Title: X-Ray Free Electron Lasers, Stochastic Tomography and Optimization on Measure Spaces
Abstract: I will present an investigation starting from a very concrete problem in experimental and computational physics, namely molecular structure determination from X-FEL experiments, to the abstract problem of nonlinear stochastic tomography and the theoretical limits of optimization on measure spaces.
