Title: Uniformly Accurate Methods for Klein-Gordon type Equations
Abstract: Solving Klein-Gordon type equations in the non-relativistic limit regime is numerically very delicate as the solution becomes highly oscillatory in time. In particular, classical numerical schemes suffer from severe time step restrictions. The aim of the talk is to present a new class of uniformly accurate numerical methods which yield good results in highly oscillatory non-relativistic as well as in purely relativistic regimes. Our novel class of time integrators is based on a new idea of ''twisted variables''. Numerical experiments confirm the favorable error behavior of our uniformly accurate methods.
