The Applied Math department hosts an EJIE (Equity, Justice, and Inclusive Excellence) guest lecture seminar by Dr. Mary Ann Leung (Sustainable Horizons Institute) on Thursday, November 7 at 4pm in SSM 104. The presentation title is "Normalizing Inclusion by Embracing Difference".
This EJIE seminar provided the Applied Math department and the broader computational science and engineering (CSE) community on the campus with a unique opportunity to discuss how to grow the next-generation workforce by creating an ideal ecosystem for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We believe that Dr. Mary Ann Leung’s visit stimulated the department and the CSE community to initiate viable discussions and collaboration. We appreciate the EJIE-Funded Speaker/Workshop Series program (sponsored by Division of Equity, Justice, & Inclusive Excellence) for enabling her visit and this event.
