Nathan Macalino

Bio: We are very pleased to award Nathan the Outstanding Graduating Award in Applied Mathematics. Nathan is an excellent undergraduate student, who is currently enrolled in two applied math graduate courses. It is highly unusual for an undergraduate student to take a graduate course, but to be enrolled in two graduate courses is unheard of. In one of these graduate courses, Nathan has turned in the most complete homework (including the bonus questions) of any student - including graduate students, while in the other course his command of the material is also at the level of a graduate student. Nathan’s work ethic and mathematical understanding are truly impressive.  The entire Applied Mathematics Departments enthusiastically supports Nathan Macalino’s nomination for the “Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award” for his excellent academic performance.
