Applied Math Undergraduate Mixer Successfully Held

September 16, 2026

The Applied Mathematics Department hosted its first-ever Undergraduate Mixer on September 11, bringing together more than 120 members of our community. Over 70 undergraduate students, 20 graduate students, 10 faculty members, and 10 staff members joined the event, making it a lively and engaging start to the fall semester.

During the two‑hour program, attendees connected with peers, met faculty, instructors, TAs, learning assistants, and academic advisors, and learned about campus resources, academic opportunities, and ways to get involved. The event also featured short presentations introducing the Applied Mathematics major, its applications, and academic advising resources.

This inaugural mixer was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our community and welcome students back to campus. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event a great success.
