The Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of California, Merced, is an interdisciplinary research and training program that focuses on solving real-world problems through development and use of novel mathematical models and computational methods. Our faculty, graduate students and postdocs conduct research in a variety of fields including scientific computing, mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, statistics and data analytics as well as collaborate with scientists and engineers across scientific and engineering spectrum. Our program is committed to training skillful, creative and diverse workforce for industry, government research and academia.
