The UC Merced SIAM student chapter seeks to promote applied mathematics to the UC Merced community and beyond. As part of the chapter’s ongoing efforts to create visibility of the achievements and experiences of individuals affiliated with our department (e.g. faculty, lecturers, alumni, postdocs, graduate students, undergraduate students), we have created a new initiative, “The Applied Mathematics Spotlight” series.
By creating visibility for individuals affiliated to the AM department, the Spotlights offer an opportunity for students to develop networks with faculty members, alumni, postdocs, and fellow graduate/undergraduate students outside of the classroom setting.
